My name is Sandra. Or Sandy for short. I'm a nineteen year old girl that is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UWW). I am a sophomore as of Fall 2006. I was pre-business my freshman year, but after taking a math class and economics class at a college level, I decided that was not for me. I am now looking into social work, which is something that I've always secretly looked towards doing with a minor in communications.I have (naturally curly) black hair, and brown eyes. I come from a small town in southern Wisconsin that I have lived in my entire life. I have your typical family: a mom, a dad, and an older sister. I wish I could say that I'm big on parties, and have an entertaining life, but let me be honest...I really am an average girl.
I have worked the same job for close to two years: a cashier at the local Shopko. Not very exciting, but it gives me money. I am currently only seasonal there. On campus I am a peer mentor for the fall term. I get to help 22 freshman out with their first semester at school. They are all awesome and they make my job the easiest and most rewarding thing that I've done this semester.
I have some of the most amazing friends in the world. Although, I had to leave all of them for college, they're still around. I have rooted myself in Whitewater now, and cannot imagine leaving the school. I've made many new friends and am always open to talk to new people. I tend to think of myself as an outgoing person. I have no problem going up to a random person and starting a conversation with them (no matter how many weird looks I get!) I love just hanging out with all my friends and having a good time.
I have a strong faith, even though I may not attend church regularly now that I am in college. However, I have kept my faith strong throughout college, and it has become even stronger since I have taken it upon myself to keep God in my life. My church back home has given me the oppourtunity to travel to Ireland twice, and go on mission trips that have changed my life forever. I will never forget all those memories.
Music makes my life complete. I am a total emo girl at heart, but I am open to anything. My first love, however, is Hanson. It's typically one of the first things I tell people about myself, and if they laugh at me, that person has a lot of sucking up to do to make me like them. haha. Other than that, my favorite bands are Something Corporate, Dashboard Confessional and The Plain White T's. I love attending concerts at our "local" venue (The Rave), however, being so far away now, makes me wish I would have realized the adrenline rush it gave me when I was closer!
I have been webdesigning for over ten years now. My joy and passion for it fades in and out. I've owned averageangel.com for over SIX years. Honestly, how many personal domains do you know of that have lasted that long? I get e-mails from old hostees from years ago that can't believe that I'm still around. :) In which case, if I hosted you, I'd love to hear from you and know where you are now! So please e-mail me! I originally was going to minor in website developement, however, I think I prefer to have it as a hobby. I also am an avid scrapbooker (ask anyone :P).
I'm a movie buff, I suppose. My friends point it out to me constantly when we try to rent movies and I've seen half of the ones that they recommend. My favorites, however, are Garden State, Love Actually, The Notebook, and Finding Nemo. Every so often I do enjoy a good read. My favorite books are The Five People You Meet In Heaven, Aimee, Cut, The Great Gatsby and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. All are highly recommended!
So did I bore you enough? I hope I did.
